About the position A well-established insurance organization is seeking a skilled Casualty Claims Specialist to join their team. This position is responsible for managing a moderate to complex caseload, including investigating, evaluating, drafting coverage position letters, negotiating, and settling losses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general and professional liability claims handling and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities β’ Manage, investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and adjust assigned claims in accordance with company guidelines and authority levels.
β’ Ensure adequacy of reserves and recommend reserve adjustments as needed. β’ Draft coverage position letters and other necessary correspondence. β’ Monitor the work of outside investigators and perform field investigations as assigned. β’ Maintain detailed and accurate claim documentation in the agency management software. Requirements β’ 2β3+ years of experience handling general liability and professional liability claims. β’ Strong knowledge of coverage analysis, liability assessment, and complex claims handling procedures.
β’ Ability to manage complex cases efficiently in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Nice-to-haves β’ Bachelorβs degree preferred.
