I am seeking an experienced developmental editor and ghostwriter to help elevate my existing manuscript into a powerful, original, and emotionally compelling novel.
I have written all chapters and have a clear vision for the story, characters, and direction. However, the manuscript requires significant refinement, structural enhancement, deeper character development, and elevated emotional tension. The goal is not to create a cliché narrative, but to craft something epic, layered, and unforgettable.
This is not light proofreading. This is deep story work.
Scope of Work:
- Developmental editing and structural refinement
- Strengthening plot tension and originality
- Deepening character psychology and emotional arcs
- Enhancing dialogue and narrative flow
- Elevating prose to a publishable standard
- Reworking certain scenes to heighten drama and impact
- Maintaining my voice while elevating execution
The manuscript is in first draft form and requires substantial polishing and strategic restructuring.
Important Requirements:
- All copyrights remain with me
- NDA must be signed prior to receiving the manuscript
- No AI tools (including ChatGPT or similar software) may be used in the writing or editing process
- Must provide a brief sample edit or outline of how you would approach this project
- Experience with character-driven fiction is strongly preferred
Ideal Candidate
- Strong background in developmental editing for fiction
- Experience ghostwriting emotionally intense or unconventional stories
- Skilled at transforming drafts into compelling, market-ready manuscripts
- Understands pacing, tension, and psychological complexity
- Able to collaborate while respecting the author’s creative ownership
