They are seeking a Disability Insurance Specialist I to assist in training newly hired staff and contribute to the growth of the Disability Insurance Branch. Responsibilities Under close supervision, the Field Office Trainer (FOT) assists with training of newly hired Disability Insurance Program Representatives (DIPRs) and newly hired support staff; assists with providing refresher training for all staff Works with the Training and Program Development Unit (TPDU) and the Management and Staff Development Unit (MSDU) to assess issues and develop solutions to meet training needs Interacts with trainees, other FOTs, on-the-job trainers, FO staff, management, and the Disability Insurance (DI) Branch Training Section staff effectively
The incumbent contributes toward the growth of the Branch into a customer-focused service organization by following and applying DI Branch cultural principles
The incumbent is required to have knowledge of the principles of the DI Branch program and protect program integrity by identifying and reporting any suspected fraudulent claims and/or activities Under minimal supervision, the Field Office Trainer (FOT) provides training to newly hired Disability Insurance Program Representatives (DIPRs) and newly hired support staff; provides refresher training for all staff Works with the Training and Program Development Unit (TPDU) and the Management and Staff Development Unit (MSDU) to assess issues and develop solutions to meet training needs Interacts with trainees, other FOTs, on-the-job trainers, FO staff, management, and the Disability Insurance (DI) BranchTraining Section staff effectively

The incumbent provides support and guidance to Field Office staff as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all new IT applications deployed for Field Office use As a program specialist, may provide assistance to lower level specialists by responding to technical questions; providing feedback on assignments, and instructing them on data collection, information gathering and dissemination, report and correspondence preparation, and other aspects of program support work Skills Knowledge of the principles of the DI Branch program Ability to identify and report any suspected fraudulent claims and/or activities Ability to assist with training of newly hired Disability Insurance Program Representatives (DIPRs) and newly hired support staff Ability to provide refresher training for all staff Ability to assess issues and develop solutions to meet training needs Ability to interact effectively with trainees, other FOTs, on-the-job trainers, FO staff, management, and the Disability Insurance (DI) Branch Training Section staff Ability to provide support and guidance to Field Office staff as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all new IT applications deployed for Field Office use Ability to respond to technical questions and provide feedback on assignments Ability to instruct on data collection, information gathering and dissemination, report and correspondence preparation, and other aspects of program support work Completion of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 Submission of a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) Resume is optional.
