This role is an integral part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing tasks with precision and accuracy Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing Work on member cases and tasks assigned to you, ensuring timely and effective resolution Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks Review, examine, and approve
Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching with attention to detail Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks with accuracy Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers efficiently Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A high school diploma or GED Intermediate Excel and Word skills Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous customer/member service experience Previous banking or Credit Union experience Episys/Symitar and processing wires knowledge Skills, Licenses, and Certifications To excel in this role, you'll need: Proficiency in bolthires Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs Excellent customer service skills Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and functioning as an integral part of a team Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
