Key Responsibilities As a Data Entry Clerk / Typist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for: * Liaising with employees within the company and customers to collect information, ensuring timely and accurate data capture * Identifying and correcting errors, and swiftly bringing them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary * Gathering reports, personal details, documents, and information from employees, other departments, and clients * Scanning through information to identify pertinent data and organizing it in a manner that optimizes swift and accurate capturing * Creating accurate spreadsheets and entering/updating information into relevant databases * Ensuring data is backed up and stored in an organized manner to facilitate swift retrieval * Informing relevant parties regarding errors encountered and handling additional duties as required Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: * A high school diploma or equivalent * At least 1+ year of experience in a relevant field, such as data entry, administration, or customer service * Excellent command of English, both written and verbal * Strong knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, with the ability to create accurate spreadsheets and perform data analysis * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers * Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed * Proficient touch typing skills, with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable: * Experience working in a remote or virtual environment * Familiarity with database management systems, such as MySQL or Oracle * Knowledge of data analysis tools, such as bolthires Analytics or Tableau * Certification in data entry, administration, or customer service * Experience working with cloud-based applications, such as bolthires Drive or Dropbox Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and correct errors * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork * Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems * Proficient touch typing skills, with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute
