Blue Star Press, selected as one of the fastest-growing independent book publishers by Publisher’s Weekly, is seeking a Marketing & Publicity Coordinator. Blue Star Press creates beautiful, richly illustrated books on art, wellness, self-help, cooking, crafts, coloring, kids, decor, and many other popular genres. - Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Attending and participating in marketing meetings with authors; sending wrap-up notes after each call
- Guiding author through marketing process and sending instructions for creating author website, reaching out to influencers, social media content ideas (we have templates for these)
- Working closely with authors, Sales and Marketing Director, and Marketing and Publicity Intern, to maximize campaign effectiveness
- Creating press materials, with assistance from the Editorial Team, including press releases, pitch letters, author Q&A’s, and story ideas.
- Reaching out to press outlets
- Brainstorming and coordinating author book tours
- Managing digital ad creation and submission; provide information to design team for creation of ad
- Assisting authors in ordering influencer box supplies and coordinating schedule for shipping to influencers
- Rounding up and recording press hits and marketing activities in MyHouse
- Managing Edelweiss DRC requests and catalogs
- On launch day, posting on Blue Star Press and Paige Tate social media (work w/ photographer to create posts)
- Working w/ Sales and Marketing Director to develop sell-in and marketing materials in communication with our ad/promo and sales teams
