Job Description
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking an Office of Civil Rights Analyst to investigate discrimination complaints and provide guidance on reasonable accommodations. The role involves managing OCR agreements, reviewing invoices, and supporting various civil rights compliance programs within the department.
Responsibilities
- Investigates discrimination complaints within DHCS and among contracted agencies
- Serves as the Department’s Reasonable Accommodation (RA) and Religious Accommodation (RE) Coordinator
- Provides timely guidance and technical assistance to DHCS staff and the public
- Analyzes complex, confidential RA/RE requests
- Works closely with the Procurement and Contracting Division throughout the contract and procurement process
- Manages OCR agreements, reviews and prepares invoices, and tracks contract and purchase-order expenditures
- Coordinates bilingual services
- Assists with the annual Workforce Analysis (WFA)
- Supports the Upward Mobility Program (UMP)
- Serves as OCR’s liaison for executive drills
- Acts as a backup liaison to the Disability Advisory Committee (DAC)
- Statewide travel may be required
Skills
- Must include a copy of your diploma/degree and/or unofficial/informal transcripts for verification if using education to meet classification MQ pattern
