Job Description
Paid Media Strategist (Part-Time)
The Paid Media Strategist plays a critical role in shaping and optimizing paid advertising strategy across client accounts. This position works closely with the Marketing Strategist, Director of Marketing & Strategy, and cross-functional teams to ensure paid media efforts align seamlessly with each client’s broader marketing roadmap.
We are looking for someone who is both analytical and strategic — someone who enjoys turning data into clarity, structure into performance, and insight into growth. This role is ideal for a paid media professional who values ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You won’t just “manage ads.” You’ll help shape how budgets are invested, how campaigns evolve, and how measurable results are achieved over time.
- Core Responsibilities
- Paid Media Strategy & Planning
- Partner with the Marketing Strategist to align paid media initiatives with overall client strategy.
- Conduct thoughtful research across audience behavior, competitive landscapes, and keyword intent.
- Develop structured, well-documented campaign plans across:
- Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max)
- Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
- LinkedIn Ads
- Additional platforms as needed
- Design clear conversion optimization and testing plans for creative, targeting, bidding, and funnel optimization.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scale performance, and allocate budgets strategically.
- Contribute ideas proactively and participate in ongoing strategic discussions.
- Technical Implementation & Optimization
- Build and manage campaigns with attention to detail and long-term sustainability.
- Ensure accurate tracking through GA4, pixels, events, and tag management.
- Monitor performance consistently and implement thoughtful refinements.
- Develop retargeting and full-funnel approaches that support client goals.
- Continuously improve performance metrics such as CPA, ROAS, CTR, and conversion rates.
- Performance Tracking & Data Analysis
- Establish clear benchmarks aligned with client KPIs.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Communicate performance shifts in a timely and constructive way.
- Support monthly and quarterly reviews with strategic recommendations.
- Use data as a guide for continuous refinement rather than one-time adjustments.
- Collaboration & Contribution
- Work in partnership with the Marketing Strategist to ensure cohesive execution.
- Coordinate with the design and web teams to align messaging and user experience.
- Participate in planning conversations and offer informed perspectives.
- Raise potential risks early and propose solutions.
- Help strengthen internal processes that improve efficiency and clarity.
- Key Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of professional experience managing paid media campaigns.
- Strong experience with: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Understanding of attribution models and conversion tracking.
- Experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
- Comfortable analyzing performance data and drawing meaningful conclusions.
- Clear communicator who values transparency and collaboration.
- Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing responsibilities independently.
- What Success Looks Like
- Campaign performance improves steadily through intentional optimization.
- Budgets are managed thoughtfully and strategically.
- Paid media efforts integrate smoothly with the broader marketing plan.
- Insights are shared clearly and proactively.
- Internal teams feel supported and informed.
- Clients see measurable growth tied directly to paid strategy.
- Benefits of Working at Lazarus Design Team
- Remote work environment
- Collaborative, supportive culture
- Clear strategic direction with room for professional input
- Long-term opportunity to grow with a stable team
