About the position At Mathnasium, the #1 math-specialized learning center, we transform how students in K-12 learn math. With over 1,000 locations worldwide since 2002, we help kids catch up, keep up, and get ahead through personalized math tutoring, enrichment, and test prep (SAT/ACT). to make math fun, build student confidence, and grow as an educator in a supportive math education environment! Responsibilities • Deliver personalized math instruction (Kindergarten through Pre-Algebra, with opportunities for Algebra Tutor, Geometry Tutor, or Calculus Tutor roles) using Mathnasium's Socratic teaching method and interactive tools.
• Motivate students with real-world math applications and practice exercises to build confidence. • Track and document progress to ensure personalized learning outcomes. • Collaborate with the Center Director to meet student needs in a team-teaching model. • Support tasks like curriculum prep or keeping the workspace tidy. Requirements • Strong math proficiency through Algebra I; Geometry or Calculus knowledge preferred for test prep tutoring (SAT/ACT). • Availability for at least 2 weekday afternoon shifts, 3-4 hours each, for after school tutoring.
• Enthusiastic, clear communicator who loves to work with students of diverse learning styles. • Must pass state and national background checks.
