Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Swindell, Bohn, Durden & Phillips is a recognized midsize firm providing client services in tax, small business accounting, and audit. They are seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager / Senior Manager to oversee audit engagements, cultivate client relationships, and lead the professional development of audit team members. Responsibilities β’ Develop an understanding of the clientβs business β’ Coordinate, organize, and schedule engagements to ensure all deadlines are met β’ Prepare audit strategies and assess audit risks β’ Manage multiple audit or review engagements β’ Review financial statements and related disclosures to ensure compliance with reporting requirements β’ Review engagement work papers β’ Research accounting issues and provide solutions β’ Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Partner β’ Properly plan and manage engagements to ensure completion β’ Become an expert within assigned niches β’ Assist in special projects β’ Assist with peer review planning and compliance β’ Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients β’ Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates β’ Lead department in knowledge of software, processes, and workflows β’ Minimal travel requirements Skills β’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting β’ 7 - 10+ years of audit experience in public accounting β’ Strong technical, analytical, and risk assessment skills β’ Proven leadership and team management abilities β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software β’ High ethical standards and professionalism β’ Master's degree β’ Active CPA license or CPA eligible Benefits β’ Generally work 36 hours per week outside of busy season β’ Office is closed on Fridays (May through December) β’ Firm-Paid insurance premiums for Medical, Dental and Life Insurance (employee coverage) β’ Firm Contribution to Health Savings Account β’ Flexible Spending Accounts β’ 401K Retirement Plan w/Firm Contribution β’ Paid Time Off β’ 12 paid Holidays β’ Firm-paid Community Service hours β’ Firm-paid CPE Credits Company Overview β’ Dedicated to Serving Our Clients & Our Community The SBDP team is dedicated to providing clients with timely, cost-effective and proactive tax, accounting and business consulting services.
