Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team at American Airlines. As a Remote Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting data engineering solutions that drive business growth and informed decision-making. This is a full-time, remote opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $27/hour and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data engineering solutions using Azure products and services, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and more.
- Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and data models to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Work closely with data stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions that meet their needs.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in data engineering, architecture, and data management.
- Participate in the development and implementation of data governance, security, and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience with Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Storage.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
