About the position Responsibilities • Developing and maintaining a general knowledge of Avoq clients and the issues that impact them. • Completing legislative, public policy, and other research projects as directed. • Assisting the Research Manager with compliance matters and fundraising activities. • Coordinating the drafting and production of client publications such as issue alerts and newsletters. • Attending hearings as needed and drafting summaries for clients and/or staff. • Reviewing and editing client memos and proposals.
• Assisting with other administrative matters and client events. Requirements • 3+ years experience on the Hill or in a government affairs setting • A strong interest in politics and public policy • Excellent research and writing skills • Experience with research tools such as Bloomberg, Politico Pro and Quorum • The ability to work independently and juggle multiple projects • Exceptional attention to detail.
