Job Summary:
As a Sr. Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content for various channels, including websites, email, and other external communications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, PR, and public policy, to develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with Amazon's business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the bar for external-facing content, ensuring that it meets Amazon's high standards for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with program leaders and the CTXR marketing team to develop copywriting and content creation strategies
- Develop a content calendar in partnership with client trust group program leaders
- Lead content reviews with senior leadership and client trust group program leaders
- Work with product, technology, and business teams to define content for external stakeholders
- Create new client trust content, including blog posts, newsletters, stories, and press releases
- Act as a speechwriter for senior leaders, developing and delivering compelling, executive-level presentation materials
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in communications or journalism
- Experience in corporate communications, marketing, or external affairs
- Knowledge of AP style writing and comfort with CMS tools
- Comprehensive understanding of writing for a specific audience and incorporating brand voice guidelines
- Solid content creation and editing background
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, technical writing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience working with global teams and remote stakeholders
- Experience working in an agile content development environment
- Experience with markup languages like HTML or XML
- A strong portfolio of writing samples or completion of a writing exercise
- A proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
