Job Description
Provide expert nursing care in a specialized unit dedicated to patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases, including those who have undergone organ transplants. This role requires delivering compassionate, high-quality care to individuals facing complex gastrointestinal disorders as well as supporting med-surg and telemetry overflow needs.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care for liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant recipients with precision and attention to detail
- Monitor and assess patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders and related health issues
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans
- Serve as a flexible resource by floating to other units as necessary
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and safety protocols
- Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proven experience in transplant nursing, specifically with liver, kidney, and pancreas patients
- Ability to work autonomously while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced, specialized environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Schedule:
- Days, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (07:00 ā 19:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Opportunities to float to other units as needed
