Olympic College is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our team at the Shelton Campus. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving their academic goals by providing individualized instruction and guidance in a variety of subjects. This is a part-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $18.20 - $24.23, and an opportunity to work up to 18 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Provide academic support for students in one or more non-STEM related subject areas
- Assist students in analyzing assignments and assigned readings
- Interpret discipline-specific problems and situations
- Clarify critical thinking and/or communication skills
- Assist students working in an online format
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Graduate, Equivalent, or Current Running Start Student
- Completion of course(s) to be tutored with an average decimal grade of 3.5 or higher
- Basic computer competency
- Reference from an instructor or professor (if a current Olympic College student)

- Demonstrate excellence in tutoring subject area
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

- Customer service skills and appreciation of diversity
Terms of Employment
- Part-time position, up to 18 hours per week
- Competitive hourly rate: $18.20 - $24.23
- Hours worked are limited to 79 hours per month or 450 hours in a 6-month period
- Flexibility in scheduling is required
