About the position As a full-time Nurse Practitioner at Teladoc Health, you will be in the center of progressive thinking, empowerment, and cultivating connections. Our full-time remote Nurse Practitioners provide urgent care treatment to patients via telephone or video. Teamwork is very important to us at Teladoc Health, and each Provider works with a Practice Manager, Medical Director, and has access to resources and support. Responsibilities β’ Conduct virtual patient assessments, including collecting medical history, and diagnosing and treating common urgent care illnesses and injuries. β’ Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions. β’ Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies, adhering to evidence-based guidelines and considering patient preferences and limitations. β’ Provide patient education and support, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
β’ Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. β’ Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient encounters. β’ Stay current with advancements in healthcare technology, telemedicine practices, and relevant professional guidelines and standards. β’ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in virtual care.
Requirements β’ Completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program within the United States. β’ Board Certification - ANCC or AANP. β’ Five years clinical experience post Nurse Practitioner training. β’ NP licensure in Texas. β’ Clear medical history (no nursing board actions or complaints). β’ Prior telemedicine experience preferred. β’ Tech savvy, exemplary typing and grammatical construction skills, and full command of the English language. Nice-to-haves β’ Bilingual speakers are highly encouraged to apply! β’ Ability to work independently and efficiently in a virtual setting, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
β’ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and interdisciplinary teams remotely. β’ Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems. β’ Strong commitment to patient-centered care, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. β’ Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving virtual care practices and embrace innovative technologies. β’ Dedication to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
