About the Job We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to on a part-time, remote basis. This role offers flexible hours and a competitive pay rate of $30 per hour. Key Responsibilities Enter data into our systems with high accuracy and attention to detail Support the development and maintenance of our information framework, including database management and data analysis Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and technical program managers Contribute to the development of new features and improvements to our data infrastructure Work closely with our open-source community to shape the future of data infrastructure at arenaflex Focus Areas
Our information framework groups are focused on several key areas, including: Database Access Platform: building and operating a scalable query entrance that facilitates information abstractions to work at sub-millisecond latencies Data Platform Infrastructure: developing a common framework and tooling to enable arenaflex to rapidly simplify the delivery of cutting-edge data and analytics systems Data Ingestion and Processing: offering a preoccupied self-service cleared path item to enable varied client personas across arenaflex to meet their low-latency data ingestion and processing needs Big Data Figure: providing the cloud-native platform for distributed data processing at arenaflex, including support for Spark, Presto/Trino, Druid, and distributed database systems Big Data Orchestration: offering the platform for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field At least 2 years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems or applications Proficiency in the design and development of RESTful web services Experience in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems Strong programming skills in Java or other object-oriented programming languages Ability to handle multi-threading and other technical challenges Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with open-source technologies and contributing to open-source communities Knowledge of data infrastructure and data analysis Familiarity with cloud-native platforms and distributed data processing Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Strong adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities and requirements
