Job Description
A Software Tester for a Power Platform development environment (encompassing Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse) is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of solutions built within this ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: • Test Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate flows, Power BI reports and dashboards, and Dataverse configurations. • Test Execution: Conduct various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Power Platform solutions.
This includes testing user interfaces, data integrations, business logic, and security configurations. • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects and issues, collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolution. • Power Apps Specific Testing: Validate the functionality and user experience of both canvas and model-driven apps, including form design, data entry, navigation, and integration with Dataverse and other data sources. • Power Automate Specific Testing: Verify the accuracy and efficiency of automated workflows, ensuring correct triggers, actions, and data transformations.
• Power BI Specific Testing: Review Power BI reports and dashboards for data accuracy, visualization effectiveness, performance, and adherence to business requirements. • Dataverse Testing: Ensure the integrity, security, and functionality of Dataverse tables, relationships, and business rules. • Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test cases, defect reports, and test summaries. • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and end-users to understand requirements, provide feedback, and facilitate effective testing.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools within the Power Platform development lifecycle. Required Skills and
Qualifications: • Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing. • Strong understanding of the bolthires Power Platform, including Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. • Experience with manual and potentially automated testing tools and techniques. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Pay: $88,743.68 - $115,874.11 per year
