This role focuses on growing strategy consulting services, where the consultant will act as a trusted advisor and lead innovative solutions for clients in R&D operations consulting. Responsibilities β€’ Lead as a trusted advisor for clients; cultivate a strong understanding of clients’ needs, translating these into bespoke service offerings β€’ Oversee the design, development and implementation of solutions to drive success on every engagement for the client β€’ Source from their own network, secure and lead a $3 million annual book of business; develop comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets, deliver compelling pitches, and lead contract negotiations to secure business deals β€’ Generate thought leadership to capitalize on industry trends and develop innovative solutions and capabilities β€’ Serve as the steward of team and company culture; foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth β€’ Develop and maintain a high performing global team, above and beyond individual contributions of sales and book of business β€’ Lead and develop multiple delivery teams across various accounts to successfully deliver projects with 'right first time' quality β€’ Collaborate in the continued growth and development of Red Nucleus β€’ Serve as a subject matter expert in the type of R&D operations activities outlined above β€’ Demonstrate a deep understanding of the R&D operations space, its buyers, challenges and competitive marketplace of service providers β€’ Lead and collaborate with a range of other, functionally-aligned leaders to sell and deliver cross-functional opportunities β€’ Support hiring and training efforts of new staff Skills β€’ Degree in the Life Sciences related specialty, or related field; MBA preferred β€’ 5-7 years in management consulting, advisory and/or strategy and change management specifically for Life Sciences β€’ A strong history of successfully selling, delivering and growing consulting revenues with a track record of sourced sales exceeding at least $3 million in the previous year β€’ Demonstrated experience and expertise in R&D operations β€’ Executive presence β€’ Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, both verbal and written β€’ Ability to leverage external network to improve market positioning β€’ Identify and pursue new business development opportunities β€’ Ability to lead client work and accounts β€’ Ability to attract, retain, mentor and grow team members β€’ Ability to become a trusted partner to all levels of clients (from Director to c-suite) β€’ Must have a collaborative and team based mind-set β€’ Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, and bolthires Office Suite, (demonstrated expertise in Word, PowerPoint and Excel) β€’ Must have the ability to manage work-life balance for oneself and be able to mentor team accordingly for themselves β€’ Must be capable of leading complex engagements with superior practice-build and client relationship management skills Benefits β€’ Competitive pay, incentives, retirement, and income security programs β€’ Comprehensive benefits and wellness programs focused on healthy lifestyles β€’ Generous paid time off, employee assistance programs and flexible work arrangements β€’ Performance driven environment including professional development and transfer opportunities β€’ People first culture fostering self expression, diversity, and a growth mindset β€’ Celebrations!
