Company Description When a high school athlete suffers a concussion, it may take days to see a healthcare provider, who often lacks specialized concussion knowledge. To tackle this problem, we founded Cognify Health, a telehealth medical practice dedicated exclusively to treating concussions in youth sports and high school athletes. Our board-certified concussion specialists can conduct telehealth evaluations within 24 hours of impact, provide follow-up assessments, develop personalized recovery plans, and return-to-learn and return-to-play protocols.
Position Overview We are seeking part-time telehealth sports medicine physicians with experience treating concussions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports medicine and dedicated to providing high-quality concussion care to student athletes. Qualifications • MUST HAVE A VALID CALIFORNIA MEDICAL LICENSE • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and board certification in Sports Medicine, Pediatrics, Neurology, or a related specialty. • Expertise in concussion diagnosis, management, and treatment.
• Comfortable using telemedicine platforms to provide patient-centered care. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team. • Dedicated to evidence-based practices and ongoing learning in concussion management. Key Responsibilities • Conduct thorough assessments of student athletes with suspected concussions. • Use diagnostic tools and techniques to evaluate concussion severity accurately. • Develop personalized treatment plans for concussion management. • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Conduct follow-up evaluations to ensure safe return-to-learn and return-to-play protocols are followed. • Educate athletes and families about concussion symptoms, recovery, and prevention. • Collaborate closely with athletic trainers, coaches, and other healthcare professionals at schools and youth sports organizations.
