Lewis Brisbois is a full-service AmLaw 100 firm seeking an attorney for its General Liability Practice in Newark, NJ. The role involves handling all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and trials, with a focus on catastrophic injury and complex litigation cases. Responsibilities Strong research and writing skills Experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation including case management, motion practice, and discovery Handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials Representing defendants in significant exposure cases in numerous general liability areas Skills Strong research and writing skills At least one (1) to seven (7) years of experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation including case management, motion practice, and discovery Experience handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required Admission to the New York and/or Pennsylvania Bars is a plus Some insurance defense experience is preferred Substantive litigation experience Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life insurance 401k with employer match Sick time Company Overview Established in 1979, Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP is a national, full-service law firm with more than 1,600 attorneys and 54 offices in 30 states and the District of Columbia.
