Job Description

The British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) is the largest health profession regulator in Western Canada, dedicated to protecting public health through regulation. The Registration Renewal Assessor will determine eligibility for registration renewal and provide guidance to registrants throughout the process. Responsibilities As per BCCNM policies and procedures the Registration Renewal Assessor, assesses and determines registration renewal eligibility for existing registrants of BCCNM and acts as a liaison with registrants who have specific queries about the renewal process Collaborates with other registration team members to ensure that qualified registrants have their registration renewed in a timely manner Follows established work processes related to the renewal application process Works with the registration team to meet customer service bolthires processing times for renewal Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning related to Indigenous cultural safety and humility and supporting organizational actions towards addressing indigenous-specific racism in BC’s health care system Skills Bachelor's degree is an asset, or an equivalent combination of education and working experience A minimum of one to three years of experience working in customer service, preferably with some database, accounts, or case management experience Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience using current versions of MS Office, MS CRM Dynamics, and MS SharePoint Familiar with accessing the web and search engines, and experience with organization-specific databases Excellent customer service skills Proven ability to think critically and act appropriately while ensuring that policies, procedures, and standards are maintained Demonstrated ability to communicate difficult decisions in a clear and logical manner Demonstrated conflict management and resolution skills Strong attention to detail Strong written and oral communications skills Ability to work effectively in teams Demonstrated understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural humility as they apply to health care is an asset Benefits Flexible hybrid work Office is closed for the 11 statutory holidays in B.C.
