About the Job and Group
The arenaflex HR Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join its team in Los Angeles or New York City. As a strategic leader, the HR Business Partner will sit at the intersection of HR and the business, providing expert guidance and support to the Programming and Product groups within the Trade, Development, and Character association. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving HR projects and initiatives, collaborating with key business and HR partners, and acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders on all talent matters.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business, building effective and collaborative working relationships with internal partners and clients. Proactively evaluate business and organizational performance to recommend and drive action through a consultative, "influence without authority" approach. Mentor leaders on HR policies, processes, and management issues, including talent planning, learning and development, employee inclusion and engagement, and performance management to promote a culture of continuous growth and innovation.
Think creatively and pursue innovative approaches to work, demonstrating flexibility, agility, transparency, and global thinking. Respond to leaders and employees with a sense of urgency and timely resolution. Analyze HR data and trends, presenting findings in a clear and compelling manner that informs business decisions. Advise on headcount/resource management and collaborate with Talent Acquisition and
Compensation partners to ensure a effective recruitment and hiring process. Utilize understanding of individual and organizational dynamics to facilitate onboarding, talent management, internal mobility, and overall team development.
Collaborate with DEI functional groups and employee resource groups to implement and measure the impact of key inclusion initiatives. Evaluate talent capabilities and development needs based on business strategy, working with Learning functional partners to create and deliver development experiences that address gaps between current and future capabilities. Lead organization design projects to streamline and implement new structures, roles, or processes that drive speed and efficiency and support rapidly evolving business demands.
Collaborate with other HR Business Partners, fostering a positive working relationship and partnering on projects and initiatives across various groups within arenaflex. Essential Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably within a tech organization working with software or product groups. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, HR Management, Psychology, or a related field is required. The successful candidate will possess: Experience working with senior executives in an "influence without authority" role.
Ability to perform with a "focus in" mindset, equally proficient at thinking strategically and operating tactically. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage ambiguity, navigating issues that don't always have a process or framework in place, and potentially with conflicting needs or perspectives. Solid business acumen with a sharp ability to process new information quickly. Proven ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to drive business results. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to rapidly interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
An independent work style, balancing the need for collaboration with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on innovation and growth. Knowledge of HR systems, tools, and technologies, including HRIS, performance management software, and talent development platforms. Certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, or a related field. Experience with organization design, change management, and talent development initiatives.
