About the position
The Virtual ESL Teacher position is a full-time remote role focused on providing high-quality English as a Second Language (ESL) education to students in Michigan. The teacher will assess language proficiency, support language development, and collaborate with other educators to foster students' academic and emotional growth. Responsibilities • Assess Student Language Proficiency • Support Language Development Across the Curriculum • Provide Individualized and Small Group Instruction • Collaborate with Other Educators and Staff • Support Students' Social and Emotional Growth Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field (required) • TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification (required) • Proven experience teaching ESL online or in-person (minimum 1 year preferred) • Strong proficiency in English (native or near-native level) • Comfortable with virtual teaching tools such as Zoom or other learning management systems (LMS) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching diverse learners Nice-to-haves • Experience in ESL teaching • Familiarity with adaptive technologies and learning management systems (LMS) • Knowledge of and sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic diversity of students Apply tot his job
