Job Summary We are seeking an Intake Care
Senior Representative for a non-clinical, inbound customer service role supporting behavioral health and substance use disorder services. This role requires strong empathy, technical skills, and multitasking ability while handling sensitive and confidential conversations with members and providers.
Key Responsibilities • Answer inbound calls from members and providers related to behavioral health services • Use active listening and empathy to assess needs, including risk of harm or substance use concerns • Triage calls and coordinate with clinical partners as needed • Communicate benefits, eligibility, provider referrals, and authorization requirements • Create and process authorizations to ensure accurate claims payment • Make outbound follow-up calls when required • Send resources and information via email • Document complaints and service requests • Navigate multiple systems while ensuring first-call resolution and quality service Training • Initial training on member calls (triage, referrals, eligibility, benefits) • Additional provider-call training after proficiency • Fully remote training • Required Qualifications • Strong empathy and active listening skills (non-negotiable) • Technical aptitude with the ability to learn multiple systems quickly • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills • Bachelor’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with 2+ years of behavioral or mental health experience • Reliable high-speed internet • English proficiency (Read, Write, Speak) Job Type: Contract Pay: $19.90 - $20.00 per hour
