Job Summary As a senior data engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data processing capabilities in collaboration with product owners, information analysts, and other stakeholders. You will work closely with our team to develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring that our applications are able to handle large volumes of data with ease.
Your expertise in big data frameworks, cloud computing, and agile methodologies will be essential in driving the success of our projects. Key Responsibilities * Design and implement data processing capabilities in collaboration with product owners, information analysts, and other stakeholders * Contribute to the development of common architecture, frameworks, and styles for processing and storing big data volumes * Design and implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages common in the Hadoop or Cloud ecosystems * Build utilities, user-defined functions, and frameworks to enable efficient data flow patterns * Build and maintain process orchestration and scheduling * Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies, tools, and frameworks focused on high-volume data processing * Outline and implement suitable data acquisition and ingestion techniques for given technical scenarios * Build and maintain automated unit tests and participate in integration testing efforts * Work with architecture/engineering leads and other teams to ensure high-quality solutions are implemented, and engineering best practices are defined and adhered to * Collaborate with teams to resolve operational and performance issues Requirements * Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electronics and Communications, or Technology * 2+ years of experience in the field of data engineering or a related field * Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and Scala * Experience with big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Databricks * Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica and PLSQL * Knowledge of scripting languages such as Unix and PowerShell * Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Teradata, and Snowflake * Familiarity with AWS tools such as EMR, S3, and Kinesis * Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau and Cognos * Familiarity with streaming frameworks such as Kafka and Spark Streaming * Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and Autosys Preferred Qualifications * Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure * Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker * Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools * Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban * Familiarity with version control systems such as Git What We Offer * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and technologies * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Professional development and growth opportunities * Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options * Access to the latest tools and technologies * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance * Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth
