A school-based counseling professional is sought to provide direct support services at the high school level in Downey, CA. This contract position spans the academic school year (CSY) and focuses on promoting student well-being through counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver individual and group counseling to high school students, addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and support student success • Conduct assessments and provide resources for students requiring additional assistance • Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress • Promote a positive and inclusive school environment

Qualifications: • Valid credentials or licensure in school counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy appropriate for school settings • Experience working with adolescent populations in educational environments • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families • Knowledge of current best practices in student mental health and support services Location: • Downey, CA • High School setting
