About the Role Data Engineering at arenaflex is a critical function that involves building systems to process data efficiently and modeling data to drive insights. These solutions can range from team data pipelines that bring business metrics to life to real-time processing services that integrate with our core product features. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for: Designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that meet the needs of our business stakeholders Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business, engineering, and data science, to enable a culture of learning and data-driven decision-making Developing and maintaining data pipelines, architectures, and tools to support data analysis and insights Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all systems and applications Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and making recommendations for adoption Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Scala, Python) and experience working with SQL Strong understanding of distributed systems and data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Flink) Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders A strong passion for data quality, integrity, and security Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and technologies Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git) Experience with data visualization tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Strong understanding of data security and compliance principles and practices Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, including programming, data modeling, and data processing Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and requirements Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
