About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Customer Service Representative to in the Richmond, Virginia area. As a Member Service Representative, you will provide exceptional telephone assistance to Medicaid members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. Your goal will be to deliver an outstanding experience to our callers every time, ensuring that their needs are met with empathy, understanding, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls from members and providers, responding to inquiries about benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs. Provide accurate and timely information, ensuring that callers receive the support they need to navigate our services effectively. Utilize high-speed internet connectivity via a secure ethernet cable connection (Wi-Fi is not permitted) to access our systems and provide seamless support. Participate in comprehensive training, which includes an initial six-week training schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday, and ongoing development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Work from home, with the requirement to commute to our Richmond, VA office when technical issues prevent remote work, demonstrating your ability to be self-sufficient and adaptable. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form, meeting performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals. Capacity to work from home and prove self-sufficiency, with the ability to commute to the office in Richmond, VA when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working remotely in a call center setting, with a proven track record of success in this environment. Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare, demonstrating an understanding of the healthcare landscape and the needs of our members and providers. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess strong customer service skills, with the ability to empathize with our members and providers, and provide personalized support. You should be highly organized, able to multitask, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
