About the Role As an Operations Technician at arenaflex, you will be instrumental in installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and server software. Your expertise will be crucial in configuring complex components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches, and networking protocols. You will participate in or lead small project teams on large installations and develop project contingency plans. A typical day will include manual movement and installation of racks, requiring a willingness to work in a physically demanding environment with infrastructure at the forefront of computer technology.
Key Responsibilities Contribute and lead efforts/tasks in the deployment, maintenance, and support of modern and new data center infrastructure. Participate in or lead troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues. Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs. Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-associated issues on servers. Deploy and maintain arenaflex's advanced data center server and network infrastructure. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: Experience troubleshooting hardware or community-associated troubles using Linux-based tools.
Experience in hardware, networking equipment, operating systems, and data center operations. A high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment. Experience with light coding or scripting. Experience with networking protocols. Ability to collaborate and partner with people and teams to overcome problems.
